MisSION

The mission of Ivy Baptist Church is to love God and one another through Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship and Evangelism -- Matthew 22:37-40.

VISION

The vision of Ivy Baptist Church is to build a spiritually mature, intergenerational body of believers through Jesus Christ our Lord.

WORSHIP

Worship is our intimate connection with God. Worship allows us to focus on who God is and not just what He does.

DISCIPLESHIP

Discipleship is the process of us becoming more like Christ.

FELLOWSHIP

Fellowship involves the joining of people together for a common purpose. People were created to connect to one another.

EVANGELISM

Evangelism primarily involves sharing our faith and belief in Jesus Christ with others who may not have a relationship with Him.

What we believe

We believe in one God, infinite creator, and sustainer of all things, who exists eternally in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence but distinct in person and function.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Kevin Swann is the Pastor of Ivy Baptist Church. He has a passion for teaching God's Word and spending time with people of all backgrounds. As a result, Ivy Baptist Church has grown significantly in number and in spiritual maturity. Church then, according to Pastor Swann is not about religion, but about a genuine and committed relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kevin and his wife, Tatrece, live with their 2 kids, Kameron and Cole, in Hampton, Virginia.
