Rev. Kevin G. Swann is the Pastor of Ivy Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia, where he began his service on March 12, 2006. He is a native of Hampton, Virginia and a graduate of Hampton High School (1989) and Old Dominion University (both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Counseling, 1993 and 1995). Currently, Pastor Swann is pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry degree from South Florida Theological Seminary. On October 17, 2007, Pastor Swann received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida. Pastor Swann is married to Tatrece Dunlap Swann and they have two children, daughter Kameron and son Cole.

Pastor Swann has a passion for teaching God's Word and spending time with people of all backgrounds. As a result, Ivy Baptist Church has grown significantly in number and in spiritual maturity. Church then, according to Pastor Swann is not about religion, but about a genuine and committed relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Swann also serves as the founder and host of the "Pastor's Study," a weekly radio broadcast that airs every Tuesday at noon on WHOV 88.1FM in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
